  1. I found my street! What's cool is that Franklin used to be called Locust street for the few blocks past 117th.

    Didn't know that! :)

  2. Love the map. Could you tell me where you found that? I would love an old Cleveland map to cover my wall here in LA. Thanks!---Jeremy

  4. There is a section at the Cleveland Public Library (downtown) with old maps of greater Cleveland, It's pretty interesting to see the land development by comparing different maps from different eras.

  5. The library has a bunch of historic maps online. Lots of fun too look at. Here are a handful, but if you search the image collection for "maps," you'll find maps going back to the early settlement days.

County map from 1951 http://bit.ly/b2TNXM and it's linked to aerial photos! I was able to see the farms that were in Parma before my neighborhoods were built.

  6. If you search the library's online image collection for "map," you'll find about a dozen maps going back to the early 1800s. I also love the one from 1951 that links to aerial photos of the county.

I have seen old maps on Ebay, including one I'd love to have of 19th century Parma.

Moving back to Cleveland from DC after many years away. Looking forward to rediscovering my hometown.
