Don't get me wrong, I didn't stay in ALL weekend...I had attended a kick off weekend for the Junior League of Cleveland Members. This amazing group for women always inspire me to give back, strive for better and look to the future, very poignant to living in Cleveland, don't you think? If you are interested in learning more about the JLC, they are having an open forum, info session next Saturday morning at Joseph Beth booksellers for more information call 216.231.6300. I also enjoyed a peach pizza at Players and spent Sunday with fellow blogger Allison & pal Shannon wandering around Chargin Falls...a WONDERFUL weekend!

The entire Bernie Kosar era is my favorite Browns memory - win or lose, it was awesome! Hope I win!!!
Great giveaway!!
I still remember my dad trying to get me and my sister into the Browns when we were younger. So much that he drug us to a game (I was maybe 15?) and I fell asleep!!! He still brings it up to this day.
Now I know my place. I stay away from the game and instead tailgate and drink beer in support of the team!
I would say my favorite "recent" Browns memory was simply beating the Steelers last year. Unfortunately the team had been on a continual downward slide since making the playoffs in 2002. It was the start of the four game winning streak to end the season on a positive note.
Fun fact: my high school's colors were brown and orange, so the Browns used to donate used equipment, jerseys, etc. for our teams to use for practices.
Also, I sat through the Browns/Steelers game last year. That should be worth something. :)
My favorite Cleveland Browns memory is being in attendance as they defeated the Atlanta Falcons in 2002 to clinch their first playoff berth of the new era. They did have to wait for another game later that night so confirm their playoff berth, but they still needed to win this game. It was a very frigid late December day, and I'll never forget William Greens 78-yard touchdown run. This is where Jim Donovan's famous "Run William, Run!" call came from. GO BROWNS!!!
My favorite Cleveland Browns memory involves me, my family members, ten random strangers and being stuck in an elevator in a parking garage for over an hour after a Thursday night game last year.
The bad news: we had lost the game and we didn't get home until 2AM.
The good news: no one was drunk or had to use the restroom.
I remember my 2 sisters and I, along with mom and dad, hanging out every Sunday to watch the game. My mom would cook a delicious feast. I am sure my dad would have rather been watching with his buddies...instead of 4 girls...but we had a blast every Sunday for many many years!!!
When my son was about 7, my husband & I took him to Browns Training Camp. He wore his Tim Couch jersey hoping to have him sign it. But Tim Couch 'wasn't signing' that day. My son was crushed. Quincy Morgan came over and was so nice & signed his jersey. It totally made his day. I wasn't sad when Tim Couch left Cleveland.
Favorite Browns fact: They're the only team in the NFL with no logo on their helmets. We're unique!
My favorite memory is the 58-48 win over Cincinnati. We were supposed to be horrible that year, yet that game showed we still had a chance!
My first Browns game was also Bernie Kosar's first game - he wasn't supposed to play - but Gary Danielson got hurt and Bernie had to come in. It was a great game - Brian Brennan threw a TD pass to Ozzie Newsome and the Browns won the game on a great goal line stand at the end of the game.
One of the first times I met Bernie Kosar...he lived in my small suburb growing up.
As a relatively new Clevelander, my favorite memory would be this past season's win over the Steelers. I like to brag about my new city... and I am not a Ben fan anyways.
I've been a Browns fan since I was a kid, but the first Browns game I ever attended was their first game in 1999 against the Steelers. I remember walking into the stadium in amazement at how pumped the fans were and how LOUD they were. It was quite different than going to a Tribe game. Now I go to a few games a year and love the atmosphere, the tailgating and the passionate fans.
I gave my parents Browns tickets for their date night. They were excited I was feeling proud for putting the great night together for them, when the storm of the century rolled in. The rain was so bad it ruined their clothes and their car still smells musty from their ride home.
Not only is the Brownie elf one of Cleveland's favorite mascots for the Browns, it's also a typefont :)
The Browns double-overtime win against the Jets in '86! Definitely my favorite Browns memory.
My favorite memory was the first game back at the new stadium. To know that we were able to bring the Browns back and restore the tradition and history was a great day for Cleveland!
My favorite browns Memory was when I discovered the old school logo used to be Brownie the Elf! Talk about tough!
My favorite Browns memories were the first football memories I have – and I still marvel that my conservative parents actually took children into Municipal Stadium! Rain or shine, I spent many Sundays in the 50 yard line in seats my family had for decades. I didn't understand the shirtless men behind us in the blizzards, but it all makes sense now that I spend Sunday mornings in the Muni lot :)
