Winter at the Beach
As I was driving down Lake Avenue through Rocky River and Bay Village I was reminded of how lucky we are to live so close to Lake Erie. The lake was sparkling from the late afternoon sunshine and seemed to be calling my name...
After parking in a rather empty Huntington Beach parking lot I grabbed my flip flops, beach blanket, and camera and headed down to see what my summer past-time was doing at this time of year.
The beach was empty, though the waves and seashells were plenty. The cool air mixed with the faint tunes of seagulls was a great break for a Saturday afternoon. As I walked the beach I discovered that winter really is a perfect time of year to find the most beach glass and seashells. I must have walked away with over twenty pieces.
The lake and the beach in January is really an escape. Next time the sun shines on a wintery Saturday afternoon head out to experience one of Cleveland's greatest luxury, Lake Erie.

Odd - I was in the exact same place with someone this weekend loving the beach in winter - we both we're loving our day!
Keep up the good work!
Hi Charity,
Any chance I could get in touch with you via e-mail? I'm at kit@neighborsproject.org and am with a non-profit. Nothing nefarious.
Best,
Kit Hodge
