Beer Guy (6/28)

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

Do you know, the beer-delivery man in the Miller High Life commercials? You know, the guy who plays the "Beer Everyman" as part of Miller's campaign to market the once-blue-collar-brewski into a retro-cool elixir. The one who barges into a cafe and proclaims, "$11.50 for a hamburger - ya'll must be crazy!" Or struts into an upscale grocery and barks, "Eight-dollar candy bar - it's prices like these that's keeping folks from living the high life." Or scoffs at some trendy club charging a $20 cover charge - "There's no cover charge for the High Life."

If you think you see the High Life Guy from those Miller ads on television around town Saturday, you're right. Windell Middlebrooks, will be here sharin’ the love around Cleveland, so don't miss him!

The pitchman, who got his start doing skits on Comedy Central and "The Bernie Mac Show," will roam around bars in the Gateway District from 4 to 7 p.m. Then he'll be serving beer at Progressive Field from 7 to 10 p.m., while the Indians take on the Cincinnati Reds. Then, from 10 to midnight, he'll be barhopping on West Sixth Street in the Warehouse District.
